The focus of the Policia de Transito (traffic police) is on the major routes in and out of the Central Valley, beaches and rural communities
Q COSTA RICA – The vehicular restrictions of San Jose will be suspended for Semana Santa (Easter Week). The Policia de Transito (Traffic Police) will not be monitoring license plate restrictions from Monday, April 10 to Friday, April 14 says the director of the police body.
Mario Calderón said the priority will be to assign officials on major routes out of the Central Valley and in major tourist destinations such as beaches and rural areas.
The police chief stressed, however, that San Jose will not be without traffic police, there will be ample coverage in communities with religious activities such as processions.
