Costa Rica News – President Carlos Alvarado believes that hydrogen-powered electric transport will soon be the norm in Costa Rica.
He said this on a two-day tour of Washington, D.C. He’s traveling with the Minister of Environment and Minister of Security.
Alvarado will return to Costa Rica Thursday and meet with former presidents of the Republic. He is all about the fight against climate change and hopes we become the first nation to achieve decarbonization.
Alvarado stated his goals for the government well before winning the election and also at the Inter-American Dialogue forum, which brings professionals and political scientists together. “Alternative sources of energy are here to stay,” he said.
Alvarado arrived to the transfer of power on a hydrogen bus developed by the Costa Rican scientist Franklin Chang.
